Services at the Pregnancy Center are free of charge and confidential. Pregnancy Testing BGPC offers free pregnancy tests. They are fast,99% - 100% accurate, and the results are strictly confidential. Our tests detect the pregnancy hormone 7 to 10 days after conception. The client will be asked to fill out a short form of general information, asked to get a urine sample and then will perform the test herself with the help of a peer counselor. Pregnancy test results are known in four minutes. At this time there may be some discussion about alternatives and ways that BGPC can be of assistance. Appointments are encouraged, although walk-ins are welcome. Ph. 419-354-4673 Peer Counseling You will have the opportunity to develop a supportive relationship with one of our trained volunteer counselors. Your counselor will continue to meet with you as often as you wish during and after your pregnancy. She will be able to help in a variety of ways including emotional support, budgeting, suggestions on how to break the news to friends and family, birth coaching, and help in practicing healthy relationships. This is not recommended to replace professional counseling when there is that need. Medical Care BGPC can provide referrals for an ob-gyn in Bowling Green. We can help you get started and help navigate you through the Medicaid (insurance) and WIC programs through the Wood County Health Department. Adoption referrals and support BGPC offers support to women and men making adoption plans and can refer to an agency or lawyer to make adoption. Post Abortion Support BGPC offers one to one or group peer support to those who have been through an abortion experience. |
